REPEATING HISTORY

Since the revival of Airain in 2020, we’ve successfully completed one of our most important missions: reconquer our position around the wrists of ALAT pilots.

Together with the Escadrille d’Hélicoptères de Reconnaissance et d’Attaque (EHRA) n°3, the third Reconnaisance and Attack Helicopter Squadron of the French Army Aviation (ALAT), we have created a truly unique timepiece that honours EHRA 3’s signature fonts and colours.

Founded on 1 July 1968, the EHRA 3 squadron celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2023. To mark the occasion, Airain issued 25 customised watches. Engraved on the back will be the pilots’ individual flight license number, to further personalise the pieces.

WATCHMAKING SINCE 1934

Founded in 1934 by the Dodane family, Airain quickly gained fame for its precision and craftsmanship, particularly with its military and aviation timepieces. Notably, Airain produced the iconic Type 20 chronograph for the French Air Force in the 1950s, celebrated for its durability and accuracy. After a period of dormancy, the brand was revived in the 21st century, honoring its heritage while introducing modern designs. Today, Airain continues to craft exceptional timepieces that reflect its storied history and dedication to horological excellence.
