Media feedback and comments
« an ultra-cool, faithful re-edition of the legendary Type 20 Flyback Chronograph (…) simply, clearly, utterly faithful to the original watch and, as such, makes for a super-attractive piece. But this new piece is more than just a pretty face, as the Dutch entrepreneur has pushed the concept quite far in terms of execution, historical relevance, mechanics, and (best of all) also in terms of price. » Brice Goulard @ Monochrome
« From all Type 20 re-editions, I must conclude that the new Airain is the most faithful to the original. The count-down bezel, Hesalite crystal, hands, typography, everything is very, very close to the original watches from the past (…) Even price-wise, the re-edition from Airain seems the most attractive as well. » Gerard Nijenbrinks @ Fratello Magazine
« Like the layout of any of the Dirty Dozen watches, there’s a thread running through the watches under the Type 20 umbrella and the Airain hits every note. In fact, it’s utterly faithful to the original run of watches. » Sam Kessler @ Oracle of Time
Comments and feedback from pre-ordering customers
« The Type 20 Brown Limited Edition is a stunning piece. It’s as pretty, if not prettier than the steel Breitling AVI Ref: 765 1953 Re-Edition. » comment on a watch blog

« A real homerun for flyback pilot chronographs fans out there. » comment on a watch blog

« This is absolutely bangin’. I love everything about it and desperately want to have one. Great choice on case size and movement. I agree that this is the clear winner among the Type XX reissues. » comment on a watch blog

« I can’t think of anything lacking in this watch, » comment on a watch blog

About The Legendary Type 20.
Type 20 refers to a specification for pilot’s chronographs issued by the French Ministry of Defense. The unique feature of the Type 20 was the ‘flyback’ function, which allows the pilot to easily reset the chronograph hand, and quickly start timing a new event without the lag in time of pushing two more buttons. Very interesting to see the revival of a Type 20 pilot chronograph, a watch with a great history being worn by French military pilots and even by the French spationaute Patrick Baudry during cosmonaut training in the 1980s!
Whenever we post time period Type 20 photos on our blog, these photos always get the most notes/likes!
Good luck with this amazing project !
